Enkindle in Me the Fire of Faith

Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

Father, we ask that

  • You fill us with the knowledge of your will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
  • You strengthen us to lead a life worthy of YOU, bearing fruit in every good work.
  • You increase our knowledge of your LOVE and MERCY.
  • You strengthen us with all power according to your glorious might, so that we may endure life’s challenges with patience, filled with joy, always giving thanks to YOU.

As YOUR chosen ones, holy and beloved, help us grow in:

  • Compassion,
  • Kindness,
  • Lowliness,
  • Meekness,
  • Patience – forbearing one another, and
  • Mercy - forgiving each other, as the Lord has forgiven us.

Over all these help us put on Your LOVE which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Help us let the Peace of Christ rule in our hearts and our minds, always being thankful. Help us let the WORD of Christ dwell richly in us so that whatever we do, in word or deed, we do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. AMEN.
