WELCOME!
Hello & welcome to our website! As a lifelong Roman Catholic, raised in the Bible belt, I’ve loved being an active member of parishes and leading Bible studies throughout the South. My “spiritual” sisters—all the “ladies” I have studied Scripture with, shared with, cried with, and raised our girls with—have been an integral part of my life. With those ladies in mind, I’ve created Ponderings™ to encourage daily, deep prayer with Holy Scriptures. Meditating on the Word has a rhythm all its own: a slow, quiet pace which is much needed in our busy, noisy, and confusing society. Spending daily prayer time soaking up Scripture has been so fruitful in my own life, I had to share it with others. Through Ponderings™, I hope you will enrich your relationship with Jesus by deeply pondering his life and teachings.

Ponderings™ grew out of my love of Jesus through deep meditative prayer and a stubborn need to have a stack of 3x5 index cards handy. I have been jotting down scripture verses and quotes from great spiritual books my whole adult life. When I worked in youth ministry at our parish, I couldn’t wait to learn how everyone else kept up with their great quotes and verses, but much to my surprise no one else used index cards! (ha-ha) During their school years, my daughters often found spiritual note cards in their rooms with encouraging verses. An index card was the perfect size to carry God’s words and messages around all day. I teamed up with my brother-in-law, Tom Woods who is an amazing graphic artist to design and create the Ponderings™ Scripture Cards. The verses are selected from favorites reflected on in my own daily, meditative prayer time.
My goal for Ponderings™ is to help others slow down, pick up their Bibles, learn to pray with Scripture, and ultimately get to know Jesus in a deeply personal way! I am praying for you to develop a daily, quiet, peaceful prayer life. Knowing Him and striving to love heroically like Him is a journey like no other! Join me in pondering his life, his loves, his promises, his mercy, and his friends. Your life will be enriched beyond measure!

ABOUT BETH
Beth Howe is a former IBM Marketing Rep, Edge Youth Group coordinator, and facilitator for over 20 years of Bible studies throughout her spiritual journey. Her “qualifications” to speak to you about Jesus and prayer are that she loves HIM and prays a lot! That’s it! (Well, and the fact that her birthday is December 25th ;). She lives outside Atlanta with her beloved husband of 34 years. They have two grown daughters out in the world who they have lovingly shared their faith with. In 2021, during a global pandemic, she created Ponderings for Your Soul LLC.

ABOUT TOM
Tom is a graphic designer and artist and brother in law.  He has extensive design experience in industry and now with his own firm in Greensboro, NC.  Tom is an avid musician playing drums and along with his musical and artistic wife Lisa, they are active in the arts and music scenes in NC.
